K-LAB undertook the design of temporary works caissons to allow for the rehabilitation of the existing bridge foundations on the Söderström and Norrström bridges. In total, K-LAB designed and documented over 10 different caissons, varying in size from 3m x 3m x 2m deep to 20m x 10m x 7m deep.

Throughout the design and construction process, K-LAB were in close contact with the contractor, Implenia, and their team of sub-contractors undertaking the diving and underwater construction work.
