LUSAIL ICONIC STADIUM, QATAR

This flagship stadium will host the opening and closing matches of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The stadium comprises an insitu concrete frame lower bowl and an insitu concrete/steel framed upper bowl. Precast elements were created for the rakers, bleachers and vomitories.

James, while working for Aurecon Australasia, led the modelling team of over 30 people across 4 countries and 7 time zones, delivering a BIM level 2 structural model that could be used to fabricate all construction materials and could also be used to build with on site

ELEKTRON TOWERS, LONDON, UK

Company: Whitby Bird and Partners
This high rise residential development in the heart of London’s docklands comprised of 3 towers, one at 25, the other two at 22 storeys which were supported on a joint podium deck over piled raft foundations. Graham lead a multidisciplinary team for this high rise project, while working for Whitby Bird and Partners. The project had a number of challenging site constraints such as the DLR train line to the south, the main reuters fibre optic to the financial district to the north, and a major electricity power station the east.

KINGSPAN KOOLTHERM FACILITY, JÖNKÖPING, SWEDEN

This 17500 sq.m industrial facility is to be become the hub in Sweden to support Kingspans distribution of products within Scandanavia. The project was taken from inception to completion.
Graham was acting as design manager and client interface, taking the initial ideas from the client, developing them into a planning application, then developing the design for the tender process. Upon appointment of the main contractor, Graham continued as the client liaison, checking the quality of the design and installations on site until practical completion.

The 20000m2 facility consists of a steel framed structure with minimal internal bracing situated on a piled ground slab. The project was delivered to a very challenging timeframe.
Karl lead the structural design team during the detailed design and construction phases where he maintained a close relationship with the project management team and main contractor to facilitate the timely delivery of the project.

NORTH EAST QUADRANT, LONDON, UK

This development comprised of a high rise residential of 163 units and a medium rise office complex of 530 000 sq.ft, all joined by the below ground parking facility. Graham's primary role was to lead the structural team to develop the design up to construction.
There were some challenging constraints to this project such as the Northern Line underground tunnel beneath the site, together with sensitive existing buildings directly adjacent.
